So I know a lot of people have been wondering what smoke cleansing is or the specifics of it. So I wanted to start by explaining some of the basics.
1. Why Smoke Cleansing and not Smudging?
Smudging is a closed ritual carried out by native Americans. It is a sacred practice passed down from generation to generation.
2. So what is smoke cleansing?
Smoke cleansing is using smoke from specific dried herbs / plants / flowers to cleanse energies, vibes, your home, yourself or objects. This ritual gets rid of negativity and welcomes positivity in its place.
3. How do you cleanse using smoke?
This process is very personal and comes down to the individual. I have a write up, which comes with every new purchase, of suggestions and guide lines to help you get started and find what works for you.
4. Never leave smoke cleansing sticks unattended whilst they are burning / smoking. You can let them go out naturally, or extinguish quicker with water, in salt or sand. All best on a heat proof plate or bowl.
5. Always use with caution around animals, babies and anyone pregnant.
Some plants that are safe for humans are toxic to pets. And be mindful of anything you or your family are allergic or sensitive to.
